Dear Dr. Carlos: I had my surgery 5 1/2
months ago, on 12/15/06. I started at 226 lbs., and have lost 31 lbs
so far. I feel better than I have in a long time, and fit into
clothes I saved from my thinner years, just hoping some day they'd
fit again. I have not gone for a fill, and don't know if I will. The
'empty' band seems to be enough to curb my appetite, and I don't mind
losing the weight slowly, so I don't know if I'll ever need the fill
(tell me if you think I should have a fill). I sometimes am unable to
keep food down, but it is always when I eat too fast, or don't chew
enough (although my body now seems to reject pork, for some reason).
Thank you and your staff for everything. My 19 year old daughter may
be a patient in the near future!
